In 1988 Alex Nova returns as
bassist and vocalist.
In 1989 the name is changed to
Brain Death and the lyrics are
in English now. The inspiration
were sci fi books, movies,

The lyrics talk about politics,
wars, drugs, life, death,
ecology and a little bit of occultism.
The line up was Jaburu-drums,
Pedro Andrade-guitar,
Alex Nova vocal, Marcelo
Monteiro-guitar.
The songs also got faster and heavier.

Marcelo (guitar) leave the band.
In 1992 the drummer Humberto
Zambrini and the guitarist

1992 they are invited to participate
of Comando Metal, a famous radio program
on radio 89 FM presented by Walcir
from the rock store Woodstock.
Walcir interviews the members and plays their
demo during the program.
After a concert in july of 1992
Alex Nova and André Morais decide
to end the band activities.
Humberto and Leandro form
the band Visible Factor.
In 1995 Alex Nova, Pedro Andrade
and Andre Morais reunite again
and start playing new compositions.
This time with
the drummer Patrick Leung
(Django's band, Scars, Red Sight, Genocídio).
After personal problems André leaves the band
and William "Vizinho" Cardoso (guitar)
joins the band.

at Aeroanta opening for
Claustrophobia and Torture Squad.

opening again for Torture Squad.
They play in many concerts but
their biggest audience was in
the 10th Rock City Festival of
Radio Cultura FM 100.1 in the
city of
Assis where they opened for the bands
No Choice and Zero Vision.
On September 7th, 1996
they play with Visible Factor (
Humberto Zambrin´s new band -
ex-Brain Death drummer).
In the same month, Brain Death´s
demo is played
on several alternative radios
in Sao Paulo.
In August 1996 they record new
songs in a live demo
and in September 96
they are quoted in Rock
Brigade 122.
In 1997 William Cardoso
leaves the band and
Erik (Japa) temporarily enters
as a guitarrist.
At the end of 1997 Patrick
leaves the band to join
Scars. In 1998 Renato
Luiz becomes Brain Death´s
drummer. Now they are
a trio and the lyrics
and songs are more
Hard Core and 80s
punk metal oriented.
They play at the 12th Rock City
Festival in Assis for
about six thousand people
again with great success
being quoted again
in Rock Brigade Magazine 146
in September 1998.
In their presentation the
highlights were the covers of
Garotos Podres "Anarquia Oi"(Anarchy Oi)
sung in English and Só os mortos não reclamam
(Only the dead don't complain) by Lobotomia.
Critics defined the band´s songs as being
a Crossover or retro-core.
After this concert
they keep rehearsing but
they don´t play alive anymore
